You need to go back and READ THE CODE! Go back as far as you can - "PVC" *IS NOT ALLOWED* for use as water distribution pipe - only as water service pipe.
What you will find, though, is that if *YOU* put a "C" in front of "PVC" (making "
CPVC"), that will be correct, however, as you stated -calling it "PVC" ... you are totally INCORRECT.
