I'm not quite understanding you here.

You *had* a "master plumber at the inspection" who said "that it was not code", and then you called for *another* plumber to evaluate it?

You already had a master plumber who did evaluate it, while you were there.

Why not have said 'master plumber on-site to de-winterize the house stated that the gas line was not to code, this needs to be corrected'?

The way you stated it, another plumber can come out, hired by the bank, and say 'nope, it's okay that way, I put them in like that all the time'. Then where does you client stand?
