This is a picture of a typical corrugated steel building. The building is split into two spaces one occupied by an auto mechanic and the other just storage. The roof on the mechanics side was re-enforced with the cables shown in the picture. I assume these are hurricane or high wind re-enforcement. The storage side, which is equal in size and was built at the same time did not have these cables? Any reason or logical explaination for this? Is there a code relating to this. The warehouse was built in 1986. Metal roof replaced 2002.
