Never heard of them. A little Google search on them turns up some interesting affiliations though. Looks like another fleeting blip of a quick make a buck company gone by the wayside.

I first heard about HIF (Housing Inspection Foundation) way back in 2001. Not exactly fleeting, but not a big player either.

A group that used to be under the umbrella of IAMI (http://www.iami.org/) (International Association Management Institute) (zoom in to read the logos) which now appears to have changed their name to National Professional Services, Inc. ( National Professional Services, Inc. - Clients (http://npservicesinc.com/clients.htm) ) That name change is probably what took down their old website. The new one isn't ready for visitors yet.

Kind of like "the Nations leading Home Inspectors Association" - AAHI (http://aahionline.com/general.htm) (a group put together by Weldon to certify graduates of his home inspection school down in Lubbock, TX) Funny that he's the only member of AAHI in Texas. Hadn't thought about that in years.

Life is tough out here!

From October 2001 to September 2002 I was a member of HIF, as well as ASHI, CREIA, AAHI (also dead), NAHI, and SPREI. From September 2002 to March 2003 I was a member of nada. Since March 2003 I've been a member of NACHI/InterNACHI.

Cool. They did around 2004 what HIF apparently has done. Maybe HIF will come back, too. I'll put AAHI back on my résumé then -- LOL.

It is true they have officially closed their doors. Not any fun seeing more and more guys and associations falling over in this industry but I have a feeling it won't be the last.
