Brian, How hard would it be to have a Inspection News Retreat somewhere like Vegas? It does not have to have classes, just a banquet or dinner. Everyone could pay their own way and $100 each could go to the dinner and what ever is left goes to Inspection News. Just a thought, my be fun to meet everyone and if some one has a funny side they might want to speak to the group. What say all?

I might go for that.

Sounds like a great idea Tony!

I'm game

Only thing is we can't go through Vegas commenting on all the defects we see and hurt the tourism there.

I was asked to leave a restaurant the other night for telling the manager the hot and cold was reversed in the bathroom. He said sue me. So I gave him my attorney's card so he could recognize the phone number when he saw it on caller ID. I was only joking.

He had no sense of humor though.

Ditto,

Tony, great idea. I'd be willing to go for that too.

A good time to do something like this would be in coordination with another home inspector venue. Say one night during the Kaplan/ITA show in Vegas, Inspection World show, or the NAHI show. Brian will most likely already be at these events.

Tony, it would be great if we could get a group together for some sort of function.

I was thinking the same thing Scott has posted. If it is done at the same time as a conference then your trip is a write off and you can go to the conference (if you want to) or just have fun in Vegas.

How many people would attend an InspectionNews get together in Vegas during the ITA expo?

Since ITA has many events of their own I'm thinking I would get suite and have some food and drink and schedule it in the evening when they do not have anything going on. Maybe an informal open door event for 2 hours. Come and go as you please. Would that format work for you?

I will need to check their schedule for details but the Expo runs October 1st - 3rd.

So, let me know if you are interested and if we have enough people I will go forward with it.

I'll have to see if it is OK to put a fire pit in the suite.

All systems go!

I jumped the gun and rather than waiting to hear who could make it I decided to book the suite now (before it is gone).

This is the plan:

Tuesday, October 2nd
6:30 - 9:30
Panorama Suite at the Aladdin Hotel

The last ITA class ends at 6:30 and the last round-table meeting ends at 7:30. ITA does not have any other plans for this evening.

Now I just need to know how much food/drink to get. Do any of you drink alcoholic beverages? ;)

Keep us posted Brian as we get closer. I may turn it into a Southwest vacation!

Does anyone drink alcoholic beverages? What else would you use to wash cellulose out of your throat? Count me in.

Just curious, are more detailed guidelines yet to follow?
Like how many kids we can bring etc.....

I'm picturing someone showing up like cousin Eddy from the vacation movies.
4 or 5 kids and a dog with half a six of PBR hanging from a white leather belt with shoes to match.

The plans are coming along.

Please let me know if you plan on attending to mingle with other members of InspectionNews and help celebrate Hann Tech Marketing Links 10 years in the business of helping inspectors.

There will be food, drinks, laughter, music and good times for all.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. :)

Maybe I could set up a "personality ring" for some of you to duke it out ;)

I'm planning on being there. You'll have to let us all know room number etc some how. Anyone have any idea if the training is going to be approved by TREC? I still haven't booked it waiting on TREC to approve the CE hours... getting a little close to deadlines now though.

The party turned out to be great! :) Sorry if you were not able to make it.

Maybe next year!
