Hello, from Guin, AL. I'll start out with a question. New construction home, toilet bowl is loosing water level after flushing and refilling, the water in the bowl will drop 1/4". over a short time period. Home has three toilets and two do this and one does not?

Probably nothing to do with the toilets, you've got a venting problem.

You say it drops 1/4" over time, does it drop another 1/4" over more time, or just that initial drop?

Not sure what the cause would be, but I doubt it is venting then.

'How long' is the time duration that it takes to drop that 1/4"?

Seconds, minutes, hours, days?

How do you know the bowl water drops a quarter inch anyway. Not doubting you. Just kind of curious. I do not measure water in a toilet bowl. Never have. I flush it. It fills up and stops running. All done. I will flush it the second time round. But measure it. Nah.

As far as any other reason beside venting and a slight draw to the bowl when other items are running in the home there could be no other reason. The toilet is nothing but a trap. If you have pour venting and another bowl is flushed it may have just enough draw on it to pull a slight amount of water down the drain. Unles you have a dog or sorry home owner taking a drink from the bowl now and then.

All sounds kinda toilet bowl fishy to me.
