Good morning, Gents:

I’m looking for a program that will allow quick preparation of scaled floor plans. At the moment, I’m just using assembled box drawings from Visio – but it lacks polish and is time consuming.

Suggestions?

Cheers!

You can do great things with this ( Google SketchUp (http://sketchup.google.com/) ), if it is not too much for what you need.

I've got the previous version SketchUp 6 which was free. There may still be free versions out there.

Attached is a sample 3D drawing which took maybe 3-5 minutes to do, if even that long (and that includes opening the program and making the drawing - those are that simple and quick to do).

As I cannot upload that file type, I've uploaded three views of it orbited to different faces.

Look at Apex - it is easy to use and it is quick if you just want floor plans.

Here you go. Check out this application. You can demo and then purchase if you like. VERY affordable.
