How does 1994 sound? I found, on another forum, someone claiming that the second letter was the year, starting with 1984. Of course sometimes a couple letters are not used, for various reasons, so maybe 1992? 1991?

See this: Age Of Utica Boilers Furnace - InterNACHI Message Board (http://tinyurl.com/an84nu)

dang. I thought I was disguising that by using TinyURL. Oh well.

Hmm... anyone have date for this one:

Nordyne SN MN3D102 F3891 42228 ?

I wound suspect 38th week of 1991,or the 3rd month of 1989, but it looks around a hundred years old based on condition...

Since the ANSI date is '89, I would agree with 1991.

John,

Good catch on that ANSI date, the flash almost washed it out making it hard to see.

I'd also go with 1991 (the week was 38 which would make it September of 1991).
