I just wanted to wish everyone a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend.

I hope you have time off to spend with family and friends and don't forget the think of the people that Memorial Day is all about!

So what do you have planned?

Camping?

Fishing?

Indy 500? ( I will be watching part of it. can't sit on my butt all day.)

BBQ?

Re-reading and memorizing all the posts on InspectionNews and visiting all the sponsors ;) ?

I hope that everyone knows how to properly fly the flag on Memorial Day!

Fly the US flag at half mast till Noon. Then fly the flag at full mast the rest of the day.

The reason that we fly it at half mast the first part of the day is to honor those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Then we fly it at full mast to honor those that are serving or have served our country.

Fly that Flag!

If you don't have a US Flag, go buy one. You can get a nice flag for under $20 at just about any grocery store, or Big Box store.

The Patterson household is staying around the house for the most part.

I fly the flag year round at my house. Not just on special occasions.

I'm probably negligent for flying it at night without a light on it but I feel this is better than not flying it at all. Been thinking of setting up a solar light so it is lit for at least part of the night.

Thanks for the info on 1/2 mast until noon. I didn't know that.

OK, don't get on me for not buying an American motorcycle..... but I do drive an American SUV.

Looks like we're going to be sitting around watching the rain.

Man, its seems as if it has rained every day for the last month or two.

The lakes that were down 15ft. or more are all full again.

Drought the last few years so I guess we can't complain.

Scott,

I don't follow those rules, but at least I fly a flag on holidays. Seems I am in the minority with the flag flying in my neighborhood. Don't understand why more people don't fly the flag these days.

We in the Stark household are flag flyers, year round, and we DO observe the "half-til-noon" rule !! Thanks for the mention Scott !

Happy Memorial Day everyone !!!
