HVAC Age

Wanted to see if someone could verify the age on this HVA system.

Ser# A045171827
Model# EBP6000B

Bryant
Ser# 4098E03810
Model# 693DN060-A

On the Comfort I'm thinking 2004
and on the Bryant, I'm thinking 40th week 1998.

Any help would on this would be appreciated.:)

Your thinking sounds correct to me.
It amazing how fast you can find this kind of thing by googling, for instance, "Bryant serial number" or some such thing. I find myself doing it a lot recently.

ICP

(International Comfort Products) A letter followed by a 9-digit number. The second and third letter represent the year, the fourth and fifth numbers represent the week. There may be a date stamp to the right of the serial number.


Sample Serial Number: R883512345 Date of Mfg: 09/88


Carrier, Bryant, Payne, Day & Night: Recently (last 20 years or so) the first four numbers in the serial number represent the week and year.

So you have mis-matched brands and ages. That's a concern for me.

When ever there is an age question, contact the manufacturer by phone or email, they have always provided the formula for thier numbers for me.

Zibby is right. However, I personally see date stamps on ICP appliances, especially dated 2004. Are you sure there isn't one on there?

I'm trying to send an attachment for some companies with their dating. It is not all- inclusive. If someone has one that is all-inclusive, please share.
