At an inspection today I was testing the spa tub in the master bedroom.
I had filled the tub with water above the jets and pushed the button for the jets, nothing happened? The home owner happened to be there so I had asked her; does your spa tub work? OH, she said, you gotta blow into the tube  . I asked her if she had gotten a DUI recently:D . No she laughed, the plumber forgot to connect the tube for the pressure switch before they tiled around the tub. They had figured out a way to get the tube connected to the cabinet with a 10' tube coiled up in one of the drawers. I had asked her if she would turn it on, her face turned bright red, I felt bad she was extremely embarrassed, but the show must go on. She had turned the jets off and on this way for 12 years, after this incident she went to her car and drove away, maybe to stop me from asking any more questions.:)
And no, there was not an access panel, or was there a verifiable GFCI circuit for the tub.;)
