Came across this boiler yesterday on a two-unit inspection. It's an American Standard Model #G27-DP, Series #6B-J5. Anyone have any reference material to determine approximate age of unit. Just by sight I'm thinking at least 45 years.
Thanks

Yes, about 45 mabey older. I've seen some american standards as old as 60 and still chugging away. Chugging being the key word. Typically a new boiler will pay for itself over 5 years in the savings on oil. And carbon monoxide levels in the home would probably be reduced quite abit also from the looks of that casing and stack.
