In the last several months I've came across a few stripper poles in some homes. They are even selling them on the television as part of a ladies workout program.

My question is this. Is there anyone that may have a installation manual on how these poles are to be mounted on the floor or ceiling.

Since safety is always a priority in my inspections I just want to make sure I have all the information I can obtain.

Attached is a video that is on YouTube that is there for public viewing that shows the abuse and weight loads that is present on these poles. No nudity is present in this video.

I consider it an education video tool.

Safety first!

Rick

I see a definite need to set up some CE classes that would involve site visits :D

All I will say is it would be quite the predicament to have those thighs crushing my head, I probably could not get loose all day. Serious muscles. The term walnut comes to mind.

If a poll installed at a residence is removable:

and not a permanent fixture, it appears to me it would be outside the scope of the typical home inspection.

Rick, How about you just schedule an " investigative " trip to a local place with professionally installed units. THere you carefully " inspect " how they are mounted. wink wink

Intersting bounce at 1:28.
What a wave motion that is at 1:40.

Dang, it's half an hour later and I still haven't hit the "Submit" button.

Got distracted for awhile!!

You know throwing all the great comments aside....those gals are really great athletes.

The strength they have is amazing! Can you imagine the strength it takes to do some of the moves they do.
