unusual roofing material

I ran across this roofing material today. It is an aluminum tile with a sprayed on granule similiar to what you would find on composition shingles. The material was so soft that i could hardly walk on it. The shingles were nailed in from the top without neoprene washers. Has anyone seen this material before??

I've seen it (or something similar) on a lot of commercial buildings.

I've seen it installed once. It was several years ago, and I don't have the product info. any more (sorry). I wrote it up in the report that it looked like a poor design that would probably leak------I was told later on that the roof leaked soon thereafter.

RB: They are steel, not aluminum.

Yeah did I say use a magnet? This one fooled me till I climbed back up with a magnet. They are indeed steel. Mine are nailed better than yours.
