Who's Bob Perry going to pay off if the TRCC goes away? Can he buy-off the judges?

The demise of the TRCC, which I think will be a good thing, will leave a loose thread. Does anyone know the plan to enable builders to comply with the law which created the County Inspection Program?

The county inspection program is operated by and monitored by the TRCC. If they're gone, I would assume it's gone too.

Nature abhors a vacuum, and so does Texas state government. They will either assign TRCC duties to another commission or begin again the process of spending Bob Perry's (and all of the other TAB members') money to build a bigger, better, consumer trap. they have to hurry though because the DTPA lawsuits against the fine builders of Texas will being flying just as soon as TRCC's doors are closed.

Until they get something put together the good ol' boy home building system will reign supreme, as usual.:D

Bruce,
Yes, if the TRCC disappears, so does the County Inspection program. However, since they were not created by the same legislation, the requirements for the inspections remains. Unless this is addressed, it will not be possible to legally build a home in the counties. This could get interesting.
