What do you say about untreated wood in the stone veneer drainage plane?

Well, It has always been a bad idea but they keep on keeping on using it. Many builders have at least became aware that there is such a thing as concrete fiber trim such as hardi products. In the south I see nothing wrong with hardi trim but up north I have seen pictures where it gets wet and freezes and eventually get destoyed when used in such locations.

What do I think of untreated wood in the drainage plane. Not a good idea but it gives you something to write up from time to time.

Jeez, someone just make it real hard to replace that piece now, but it will still be easier than replacing it later as Michael stated.
