TPR Question

I don't see this method used in my area, most TPR is piped to the exterior (when they are piped at all) excluding that the pipe runs uphill is this set-up allowable.

Looks like that is pipe to a vent pipe.

No, that is not allowed.

That is also PVC, which is not allowed for that use.

That whole set up is wrong.

Is that foam insulation on the water pipes all the way next to the draft hood?
How is B-vent attached to hood?

The T&P valve is all wrong. Can not tie into the Vent system for the building drains and not allowed to use PVC. Also where is the vacuum relief valve? Any time you have a water heater installed with any fixtures below it you need a vacuum relief valve installed on the cold water side after the shut off valve.

What about the duct tape (which is combustible) being that close to the draft hood? Is there a base to support the idea that that is wrong as well? I mean a base other than my own imagination.

The duct tape is on the foam which Bob H. pointed out.

The best answer is "It's all wrong.", if one needs more detail then we could make a list of what is included in "all wrong".
