TPR Value on Rinnai Tankless Water heater

Uuuh yes! It needs to be routed to within 6 inches of the ground. Actually it's just a PR Valve.

When using the isolation valves, which is recommended by Rinnai, that is where they provide you access to put it. It has it exactly that way in thousands of then in Florida. I have yet to ever see a TPV go off on one of these yet.

JM: The entire installation is wrong. Start with NEC 110.26 (clearances around service equipment). Move right along to IRC P2803 for TPR drain line termination. Next take a look at Gastite's information regarding securing the CSST at the valve, installing it through the exterior wall, as well as exterior application. Then there is the issue of the electrical conduit not being supported on the wall.

There may be more, but I got dizzy just looking the first time.:D

I am having a hard time seeing exactly the set-up on the TPR (or PR) valve, but it looks like there are yellow handle isolation valves just above the PR valve which would be forbidden from what I know about relief valve rules.

Rinnai has a specific layout for their piping on the bottom of the unit. I thought I had a pic but can't find it. That is not it. Rinnai also sells a complete pipe kit for the bottom of the unit, its about $100. around here.
As Aaron mentioned the valves are the least concern. Clearance to the meter socket for starters. I would write that as D&H for sure. What about the power box underneath the unit? Liquidtight line, but is the box watertight rated. I would not hesitate to tell them to move it. Will the PR valve open, probably not ever, except the day the utility reader or electrician have their hands on the meter socket.
Doesn't look like any protection for the Pex gas line going through the wall either.
Also you should consider renaming pics before you post them. Having the home's address as the pic name isn't good.

The yellow handle you see up top is for the wash out ports of the isolation valves its not between the tank and the relief valve. Rinnai uses Webstone isolation valves. Below is a picture to help you see the handle. If only he had moved the heater over a foot to the right. Also installed a relief pipe into the relief valve and terminated it within 6" of the ground.

Oh and I HAVE seen the pressure relief valves on a tankless blow off.
