I had to laugh yesterday when I walked into this utility room and saw the washing machine drain. I asked the girl why the drain went to the wall and she said her husband did it. I showed her the knockout and told her the builder forgot to remove it when she moved in 5 years ago. After I came back in to house from the garage she had removed the knockout and installed her drain. Now, once they find the cap for the cleanout the utility room might not stink anymore.............but now she's moving.

Her husband looks like a good painter as well.

That's funny... on new construction I always pop those out to make sure the drain is really there and also to make it obvious for the homeowner where the hose goes....
