Had a question from a client today, Water runs brown at some faucets, not at others. House is 15 years old. Plumber said it was the water heater, an oil fired bock 50 gallon 15 years old. Ever heard of this?

I inspected a few homes that had this concern and it did wind up being the water heater.

The reality is...Where else would the rust be coming from with your copper or even cpvc pipe or fixtures for that matter. I can see if it was an old home with galvy and older fixtures as well but not in a fifteen year old home.
