Just wanted to say Hello. My wife and I have a large Victorian home. We built it 18 years ago. Very Very high maintance! Its time to do some repairs and repaint again. This time we decided to redo the complete exterior with Hardi Plank and Azek trim. We are also a new roof. We are going with a Standing Seam Metal Roof.

:)

HS: Houston boy, you may want to bone up on Azek and its inherent problems:

If it were built 18 yrs. ago it would be "Victorian" like would it not? Wouldn't be old enough to be true Victorian. Kind of a Faux Victorian maybe.:D

I have a builder friend that built nothing but "Victorian Style" homes. He lived in one himself but realized the upkeep of keeping all the decorative trim painted and keep the wood decay under control.

I've inspected several that he built back in the 80's recently and OMG what bad shape they have become.

They'd scare the crap out of that Sears Weatherbeater Paint.
