This is a homeowner special we find up here in good old Alaska sometimes, how many problems can we count?
Notice the 12/2 on the 30 AMP breaker?
The panel cover also had knockouts missing, no panel labeling and only one screw holding it on. I'm waiting to hear back from the do-it-yourself homeowner on this one, I don't think he's going to enjoy the long list of defficiencies.
Just another day at the office...

Is that the service equipment - I hope? Looks like it.

I'm sure you included (just a quickie looksee here):
- missing knockouts
- no (and I mean *NO*) NM cable clamps
- conductors bend too sharply
- looks like the main groundING conductor is perilously close to the hot bus bar
- drywall screws used to hold the panel in place

Thanks for the reply Jerry, and no this was the distribution panel. The service was on the exterior with aluminum wires without the antioxidant which was my first clue this was a homeowner special. The neutrals and grounds need separation, and I missed what you said about the "main grounded conductor is too close to the hot bus bar"- good call!
The open knockouts need to be properly sealed as well. This guy has lived here for four dangerous years. Thanks again Jerry, David
