Good question. As it is on the side of the garage and pretty high up, I would think that it is unlikely to be struck by a normal vehicle. However, given your standard issue Hummer and standard issue Hummer driver, a bollard might not be a bad idea.

Thanks Gunnar, pipe isn't as high as it looks. Is haggis as bad as it sounds or looks?

Sheep guts and oatmeal boiled in the sheep's stomach. I haven't tried it, and don't really intend to.

Definately a future problem there. If it is going to stick out like that it needs protection from damage. Inadequate support also. Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like a shipping coupling in the line too.
