The photo might need a little explanation. I'm standing at the top of the basement stairs. You can see the sump pump down in the basement. To get to the panel and do whatever, you have to stand on about the 4th step. For a short person it's hopeless.

What's on the other side of that wall?

Anything to prohibit that panel from being flipped around to face out the other side of that wall?

The bottom of the stairs to second floor is on the other side of the wall. Even if that could be done, the panel would be about 8 feet above the basement floor. Nice try, though.

No, the panel would be just above floor level on the floor on the other side of that wall ... IF there was a floor there. ;)

If there is no floor there, and there is a stair there, ... why is that wall there? I'm stumped trying to figure that out. :confused:

The wall is there so they could put the panel. Duh! :rolleyes:

Whoooosh! Right over my head.

But ... of course!

Now why did I not realize that?

(Guess it is because I think logically and there is nothing logical about that panel's location. :( )
