Metal Roof Installation

I haven't done any metal roof inspections yet but am seeing more of them installed. Where can I find information about proper installation and maintenance. With the roofs I've seen there are never any roof vents, how is ventilation handled?

I haven't seen any education available in my continuing Ed classes or on line. Any help is appreciated.

While many, maybe even most, metal roofing manufacturers use *similar* installation instructions, there are peculiarities to almost each manufacturer.

Thus I would find out the most popular manufacturers being installed in your area and get the installation instructions for them.

try Berridge Metal Roofing and Siding. They have train programs for installers. Once on the website look under the "products" tab and they have all the different types of metal roofing products.

SMACNA and NRCA are two good resources most manufactures application will meet or exceed these standards.
