BM: It is difficult to tell much from your photo, but:

(1) It appears that there is no drip edge flashing.
(2) The wooden fascia is installed too close to the roof surface.
(3) It is doubtful that the shingles are propelry flashed at the pitch change.
(4) The most improtant flashing si that at the sidewall intersection, which is not visible.

Brian, you forgot the :D, at the end of this sentence.:)

Do you have any wider angle pictures? It may just be the angle of the pic, but it looks like the roofs slope is border line, and that there is not enough over hang.

When forced into that scenario we will install step flashing against the facia extending up to the shingles, and then install the shingle strip/drip edge over the step flashing.
