Blade Fuse Size

This might be a stupid question but, here goes. Is this blade fuse a 100 AMP fuse or a 200 Amp. Does the (2) 100 AMP fuses make a 200 AMP system?? Thanks

100 amp, 230Volt assuming that is a 230 volt pull out fuse block.
It is twice the voltage and power but the amperage is still limited to 100 amps.

Those fuses are 250 volt 100 amp.
Until you get into medium and high voltage work , Fuses for AC come in 2 voltage ratings. They are 600 volt and 250 volt.
250 volt are to be used on anything under 250 volts ( 240 , 208 volts)
600 volt are to be used on anything OVER 250 volts and UNDER 600 volts.
( 480 , 277 volt) (This is something to keep in mind for those of you who do commercial inspections were there is 480 volt electrical systems)

NO the 2 -100 amp fuses do not make a 200 amp system, it is 100 amps at 240 volt.
Think of that pull out as a 2 pole circuit breaker. In this case a 2 pole 100 amp circuit breaker. It's only good for 100 amps.

And while you are at it ... keep in mind that many insurance companies WILL NOT INSURE a house which has fuses panels in it, meaning that the panel will need to be replaced just to be able to get insurance.
