That is, hands down, the stupidest skylight installation I have ever seen. If it does not leak now, it will soon.:D

Oh my. I hope you got a good chuckle out of that one. They are just begging for a leak. Is it at least over a shower or tub?

I would tell the client, this skylight will leak, it's just a question of when.

its not leaking that i could tell....

That's because it wasn't raining.:)

Is this the roof of the house or an out building?

I would change your statement to "it's not leaking" YET.

Other than being completely and totally wrong ... and that it will leak sooner rather than later ... I don't see what the problem is ... :D

I'd call it out for repairs by qualified contractors.

I love this one, I can hear the roofer (or the homeowner) every time this skylight leaked.

"It can't be the skylight leaking because we sealed it, it must be coming through the run of shingles above the skylight"

"Still leaking! It must be coming through the run of shingles above where we have sealed."

"Still leaking! It must be....."

The roof installation is incorrect as well. If you are gooing to drive fasteners through your metal roof, they should only be through the raised ribs, NOT 2" from the valley center.

Partially correct.

MANY metal roof manufacturers specify fasteners in the pan area at the bottom of the panels ... admittedly NOT 2" from the center of the valley - more like 6" back from the center of the valley, but still one (sometimes two) in the pan area at the valleys and the overhangs.
