Hey everyone! Doing a little research here. Have any states besides Georgia Ameneded the 2006 IRC Article R311.5.3.2 to reduce the minimum tread depth from 10" to 9" or some other lesser dimension? or made any similar amendment to the 2009 IRC to reduce tread depth?

Massachusetts has kept it at 9". I think there was a lobbying from affordable housing advocates, precast concrete manufacturers, etc. to keep it at 9".

Oregon is still at 9" as well. Here's the code: 2008 Oregon Structural Specialty Code (http://www2.iccsafe.org/states/oregon/08_Residential/08Res_Frameset.html)

The first IRC, the 2000 IRC, had 10 inch minimum tread depth, which has been kept since then.

The Florida Building Code - Residential is 9 inches tread depth. The 9 inch tread depth was in the old Standard Building Code and some of the other model codes prior to joining into the International Code Council.
