When the sub panel is directly adjacent to the main panel, the requirement for isolated ground and neutral wires still stands correct?

Also, more importantly what is the correct terminology for main electrical panels and sub panels? I know this is a bone of contention for some :)
I want to make sure I reference them correctly in the future.

Thank you

Correct.... and they're all called panels. Some are service equipment the others are just panels. I've also hear the term remote panel used around here.

For some reason, this is easier on some of us than the term sub panel. I've never quite understood it as everyone knows what is being discussed by the term sub panel. But, as they say, when in Rome....

I use the terms service panel and sub-panel.

I can never get my sub in the house to get that close to the service panel ... you guys must have those tiny underwater unmanned submersibles?
