Any violation running cabling through insulation other than unprofessional?

How about through the ceiling? I did not notice anything on the other side, there must have been a chase below.

No problem with running the NM cables through the insulation, but a big problem with the insulation being installed downside up (upside down ;) ) and the paper facing being left exposed.

Should we worry about that paper shoved up against the pipe? Is that a B-vent? :D

No need to worry about the paper ... we KNOW it will burn. :D

Besides, it is the insulation shoved up against the vent which is the problem (for the vent). ;)

It is a b vent and not in good shape. It was just a little loose.
Check out the picture looking up.
