What are the odds of the emergency pan actually working, and draining condensate water directly into the light below. Priceless.

Looks like it's happened before, the globe on the light has about 1/2 " water in the bottom of it and is algea covered.

Yes it had water in it, and the bulb was exploded.

It works! That's the signal to the home owner that there's a problem with their AC!

Are not the drip holes supposed to be directly above the door so the splash is on the stoop or porch. Or is that just common sense and not code.

Not here, Alot of them, my house for example has the air handler in the garage and the pan is there but just has a PVC 90 that will drip in the garage, or your car so you know its leaking. In other words the PVC 90 is not connected to anything just drains on the floor. Like this.
