Does anyone have any other ideas where the code addresses accessibility to water heaters for this situation?

<removed>

M1305 Appliance Access comes to mind, but it could be argued that this is "accessible". However, you can't really have working space with a ladder in front.

I would like to see steps and a full landing at least. Any insight would be appreciated.

Proper combustion/make-up air is a problem with that install as well!

Actually, they had the high/low combustion air ducted in from the ventilated attic.

Its like a giant brick trailer home.

As long as the high low air is met, then I can not see anything wrong with the installation.

WARNING: l Clicked on the picture to enlarge and got a link popping up now to some porn site.

But back to the water heater.
The foam insulation on the water supply lines are too close to the exhaust draft hood. Needs a (6) in. min. clearance to combustibles.

Okay now, back to the other link. :D

What about the TPRV pipe that appears that it is slid into PVC. If it is CPVC that would not be right either without a physical connection? Would it?

After 5 hours of having to watch that Jasmin video, I finally got the link removed from my computer. ;)
