Metal shingle roof

Dont see many of these. Does the drip edge need to be under the shingle or is this used to hold the roofing in place.

After doing some research on Metro metal shingles web site it would appear that the pictures you show are correct installation. I am always glad for the updates on Inspections News as I learn so much from you guys and gals.
