1950's Ranch from last week. The house originally had a flat roof over half the house. The owner got a good deal on some roof trusses so installed a gable roof overtop the flat roof. But he had to remove the existing soffit. So he did but never put any thing back up.

The attic insulation was visible from the front yard. Every ceiling sagged from damp insulation. The rest of the house was in similar condition.

The owners said the roof was only 5-8 years old.

Too bad he bought the wrong size trusses. (Kinda like buying the wrong size shoe.) Looks like he missed the truss bearing points by a mile.
