The house I inspected today that had the cavalcade of people was inspected 8 days before me by a relocation company. My client got a copy of the report and forwarded it to me prior to the inspection. The report literally documented zero defects.......nothing.

Hmmmm.......

The 1st pic is of the underside of the front entry porch landing with no flashing on the ledger board. The 2nd pic is the interior wall adjacent to the porch. The rest I believe are self explanatory.

Is that the composite decking that was recalled?

Two different houses HG....two days in a row. Lucky me.

And both houses were 8 years old. Eeeeerie.

Not sure what the issue is with the composite decking or if it is part of a recall but it definitely has it's issues.

It's funny because when I first started inspecting 7 years ago, I did some relo work for the same company that did this relo inspection. The pay sucked and I'm guessing it probably still does.

On an inspection I done for a Relocation company they had an on line report form they wanted me to use. The way the report was formatted they clearly did not want to know anything bad about the house. I finally gave up using the form and gave them MY report. The Re-lo company called me saying I had to use THIER form. I told them their form did not allow me to make an accurate report and I refused to use it.
They finally accepted my report and paid MY price.
My point is, the inspector before you may have used their report, not his.
