View Full Version : Anyone know what type of wood this is?

Found this at today's inspection. It went the length of the roof and appeared to be about 3 foot panels that went from eave to eave, also on the interior.

Yes ... and ... no.
First the yes ... it is not wood.
Second the no ... i forgot what that material is called (I have known, and forgotten, what that is called so many times that I quite even trying to remember what it is called :o :( but as soon as someone says it I will go 'Oh yeah, that's it.' :) ).
I think it is tec something or something tec, maybe Tectum or something like that.

I am with Jerry on this. I know what it is and it used to be quite popular. Gees, I just almost got it off the tip of the tongue again. That material is the ceiling and roof.

I believe it is the same material and maybe an older product of the company but the roof panels are thick ceiling/roof panels and they are very insulating and sound deadening.

Thank you all,
After viewing the Tectum website I am thinking that Tectum III or Tectum E are the panels that were utilized. I was wondering why there was no soffit venting! These panels had wood shakes on the roof.
