Does anyone recognize what brand of roofing this is. Does it have any type of warranty. It is a single membrane meant for flat roof.

Mr. Reeves: This appears to be similar to a product I used many years ago when rebuilding wooden cabin cruisers. There are many upper deck materials similar to commercial roofing that look like this. Sorry, I no longer remember the names of them.

Modified Bitumen is an older roof material used on flat roofs. Developed in the 1970's in Europe, they are a rolled roof (http://www.onlinetips.org/roll-roofing) single-ply of polyester, fiberglass, or polyester impregnated with rubber and elastomers. Hot torch heating of the adhesive is done as the material is unrolled, although safer peel-and-stick systems have been developed recently.
There were or are 18 manufacturers of this type of roofing.

no. The best way to describe it is that it looks like Tyvek. The roof is supposed to be only seven years old. I am surprised nobody can identify it.

Hey Tim, Do you have any other pics of the roof? Considering the factory edge it looks a little like a heat welded system. Sometimes on a pipe boot or protection mat there will be a manufacturer ID or name. Also look for any printed material on the sheet.
