I can't find code reference on this install but it can't be right like this, The air turbulence has to affect the water heater intake and exhaust.
Anyone have a code reference.

Probably not a code issue, but should go with manufacturer installation instructions for the water heater.

I think it would be a concern with both the intake and exhaust when the AC condensers are on. The air would be getting drawn out of both of them. Granted it is not like there is a heavy draw from any one spot of the exterior coils but none the less a draw.

One think that would help......move the AC condensers out away from the home as installation requires.....problem solved.

Yeah Ted, I was thinking that also but I don't think we have the proper clearance even with moving the units.

Did you get the make and model of the water heater? The PVC pipe setup looks more like a furnace so I am curious as to what type water heater this is. That does not alter the problem with the location of the condensing units though.

Intake and exhaust are too close to condensers, which are too close to the house and each other, I question whether the 18" above grade is present. Seems like a typical 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag install. Smaller condenser is pushed in a corner and not serviceable.

Exactamente, and the disconnects are set behind the units also

Turn them on and see if any problem?

Do you have a picture of the water heater. I have never seen separate intake and exhaust on one. I also never seen one ran in PVC. Must be high end stuff that builders aren't willing to install around here.

I had never seen one either so I got hold to the manual. Here is a link. Thank WS for the model number.
