I did not know that they had leaches in Oregon as well. I thought the weather was to cold for that.

There are folks out there that will buy anything. You can see that by all the paranormal shows on television and how well they do.

Cannot explain something it must be someone reaching through from another time and or dimension. Someone trapped in a paranormal void just waiting to be set free.

Yeah. Those people "out there" in Oregon sure are gullible. What a bunch of yahoos. Texans would never fall for anything like that.

I love this:

"Psychic Fairs in El Paso, Texas ! Held every 2 or 3 months."

Every 2 or 3 months?! They're psychics! Why don't they know when the freaking fairs are going to be held?

In do wonder, though, what they use for their SOP... the script from "Ghost Busters"?

And... is there on-line NACHO certification available?

And ... hey.... one of us could become FAMOUS:

I never said there were no fools in Texas. Fact is, they are everywhere. Hence my comment about how popular the paranormal shows are.

One more way to suck money out of folks.

Now there's a whole new area for disclaimers!! The house was haunted.
Or....maybe I should add it as an "additional inspection" service along with water dowsing and tin-foil hat fabrication. Those have been doing well and I love the extra money they bring in.

I wonder if in the current political climate, people might pay to find out if the previous owner was one of them Socialist Commie Types so that the house could be, if not actually exorcised, at least fumigated before taking possession.

I'm kidding! Not trying to start a political fight! Just kidding!

Actually that would be an ASSi service as they work closely with and market to Agents so as to not spook the buyers.;)
Not a new service as it came out about the same time as the great branding campaign.

There is a newwebsite named www.diedinhouse.com (http://www.diedinhouse.com/) that can help you research property homes history. As you know a death in a home can impact its value up to 35% and time to sell up to50%.

It depends on WHO died there. If it was a normal, everyday person, yeah you might have a problem. If it was a celebrity, NOW you have a landmark that's worth even more!:p

Anyone have a paranormal activity disclaimer for their contract? I would imagine in lawsuit happy California you must have one (as well as disclaiming everything else).

Yes, it does depend on how the person died. For some even a peaceful death would be an issue. A murder and/or suicide usually impacts a homes value the most. For those that do not mind it, purchasing a stigmatized property can be a bargain. A buyer can expect to pay up to 35 percent off regular market price.

California is 3 years from the purchase. AK and SD is 12 months. Then about 15 states have in their law that if the buyer asks and the seller knows of a death, the seller is then required to disclose it. The remaining 32 do not require death disclosure and there are no legal actions taken towards the seller for not disclosing.
