HELLO folks, This is my first post on this forum, hope someone can help.
I just purchased the IAC2 Mould inspection report software but have found that I cannot print off a check list to take to the inspection fill out and bring back to the office to complete , the same way that I do my regular home inspections.
Does anyone know of or have a check list that I could use for mould inspections. I don't want to purchase another program I just purchased IAC2 can' afford to by another one.
Any help would be appreciated.
THANKS.

Fred,

Glad you made it over here.

I'd contact PV and NACHI if I bought a product that does not perform as advertised or as you require.

I don't do mold and wouldn't recommend sampling.
I like to sleep and wake up with a clear conscious.
Money would be better spent locating the moisture/water source and stopping that then making the necessary repairs.

Read EPA Investigating, Evaluating, and Remediating Moisture and Mold Problems | Mold Remediation in Schools and Commercial Buildings | Mold | Indoor Air Quality | Air | US EPA (http://www.epa.gov/mold/i-e-r.html#Sampling)

and contact this gentlemen for further reporting information.

Fred, …. If I were you I would contact IAC2 and ask how one prints a Check List for field use. They should be able to help you, but if not, …. Here’s an idea that may or may not work. I would open the IAC2 software Check List, copy and paste it over to a Word document. It might need some touching up here and there, but once you fine tune it onto a Word document, save it !!

By the way, and off topic here, why does someone have to be a member of NACHI in order to register with IAC2 ? Even though I’m with NACHI, it seems they have their 2-cents in everything ?? So, if you’re with another respected HI Association, you can’t join (register) ? Sound like BS to me …… :D

And as with Barry, I don't do mold sampling either. Seems at some point in time, one is bound to end up in court in long drawn out litigation trying to cover their arse. I recognize (most) mold, and will refer it to a specialist for further evaluation and repairs.

Thanks guys for your responses.
I have been in touch IAC2 and INSPECTVUE regarding the mould checklist and they are looking into it. As far as mould inspections and sampling are concerned , the sampling part is the last stage in the process and many other things can be done without doing actual sampling.
Thanks again for your quick replies.:D

Not sure what your real issue is. I don't know anything about IAC2, but then I don't have anything to do with NACHI and it appears it's part of them.

I do use Inspectvue and you can customize the report any way you want it. You may want to check with Lorne and see if he can help.

I also keep as far away from mold inspections as I can. To each thier own.
