When was the first Square D XO breaker panel produced?

I don't need to know this to tell my clients this whole setup, service with no main breaker, double-tapped to boot, needs to be replaced. The house was built in 1951. If this panel is original, it is 59 years old. No label inside the cover.

The meter is in the box behind the Sylvania panel.

Cannot say when they were introduced but by late 1959 -1960 they were obsolete, replaced by the Cutler-Hammer type CH & SQ D QO panels & breakers. C-H & SQ D both made XO panels.

The panel in the supplied pictures if was willing to bet, is IMO orig. to the house.

Am going to leave the defects pictured to others.....

Products history, performance standards, testing standards, and listings for Canada have been and are quite different than for the US market place.

Suggest you reference Schneider Canada for information relative to your questions.

In the mean time, visitors to this thread might find this older Technical paper (written for US market - references and standards) interesting reading.
