Can I please get some opinions about what decade this Sears water heater might of been manufactured in. The data plate was hidden from view back against the wall, but I thought maybe some of you veterans might be able to give me some idea based on the aesthetics of the name plate.

How old is the house. It might be original. In any event, it looks old enough to replace. It cant be very efficient.

House was built in 1951. Yes, it is definitely slated for replacement...no TPRV valve, badly corroded fittings, leaking valves....

I'm just curious...

That name plate looks late '60's or early '70's.

If that's an original copper-tone paint job, then I'll vote late 60's - early 70's.... but of course I am too young to remember when they came out! :)
