Please HELP! need fire stopping in finished basement!

Please, please someone help me! This is my situation: I know nothing about construction. I finished my basement and the Person (who seem to have evaporated) did NOT put fire stopping in the walls. I had an inspection and failed and my budget at this point is really low how to do the right way without spending lots of money? Thank you

Hellena; that is a tough spot to be in, particularly if the contractor that you used was not licensed. Your best course of action at this point would likely be to contact several contractors in you area to see what they might be willing to do.
