Can't pass through a partition wall, how about a cabinet wall?

(Also, comments on the general arrangement?)

I think the consensus the last time we went over this was that a cabinet wall was not a big deal unless feeding a slide in range where damage was likely.

Well, throwing pots and pans in there ain't too bright. I'd recommend a simple removable panel be installed to protect the flex connector and that poppet style regulator. Personally, I would recommend that shutoff be replaced with a modern Z21.15 ballcock.

Am I seeing things or is this flex line more than 3 ft. long? They could put a simple grommet where it penetrates the wall of the cabinet. What is in that space where the shutoff is?

That's a corner cabinet.

I would think it would have been better to hard pipe to the left through the cabinet wall and turn downwards there.
