Well, not the best news to end the year or start the new year but we just found out that my wife has a rare chronic lung cancer. It appears to be in both lungs and is not operable and does not respond to chemo or radiation type therapies. We will most likely be seeking clinical trials at M. D. Anderson in Houston Texas in the next couple of weeks. The good thing about this cancer is that it is slow growing but that also makes it harder to treat. The prognosis of this cancer (carcinoma) is about 5 years which they believe she has had it for 2 years according to the location and severity of the lungs. Its no suprise to you on this board that I'm a man of faith in God and I hope to glorify Him by my actions. Therefore I ask you to pray for God's mercy and strength for my wife, me and my family during this coming year. I have read lots of bad news, good news, worries, praises, on this board and would like to think that we are close enough to want to know these things about each other. I don't plan on posting any other information on the board, I just felt like I needed you guys and gals behind me this coming new year. Thanks for listening Tony Mount

Sorry to hear about this Tony. Robin and you will be in our prayers. MD Anderson is about as good as it gets when it comes to treating cancer. We have a dear friend who went into experimental clinical treatment for a rare kidney cancer at MD Anderson and he has lived 3 years longer than expected and it appears the cancer is gone.

My prayer is for your strength to take care of your family, your wife's healing, and that throughout this, your family remain steadfast in seeking the wisdom of God and glorifying Him in all things.

Miracles can and do happen. Cancer treatments are changing all the time, you never should give up on hope on that front. In the mean time think quality of life and whats best for her (and you)

God bless!
