View Full Version : Water heater vent pipe

What do you guys think of this. I think its crap, I did not get any CO readings at start up but I still think it's crap. I would think the exhaust would have to blow directly out the barometric damper in the right weather conditions.

The Tee needs to be reconfigured to a bullhead configuration.

Definitely wrong Wayne. The combustion gases in that flue pipe are not going to make a 90 degree turn on their own away from that damper and up the chimney. Path of least resistance.

David, Nice link, So I guess he had it right when he was at the truck but when he got to the unit it was 4:31 and Bud Wweiser was on the phone.
Thanks NIck, That's what I thought too. I blamed it on the broker. HAHA
