They are in high demand. The new 1028 & 1029 are cumbersome and expensive when compared to the 1027. Last I heard Sun Nuclear still had 1027's in stock, I think they are in the $450 range. Printers I don't have a clue I email the results.

Does anyone know if Sun Nuclear is close to getting EPA (and NEHA) approval for their new 1028 and 1029?

It might be best to give them a call.

On a side note, a 1027 is for sale on EBAY
eBay - Sun Nuclear radon, Industrial Electrical Test, Business Industrial items on eBay.com (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&from=R10&_trksid=m37&satitle=Sun+Nuclear+radon+&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=37174&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1)

Price is getting kind of high as the unit will need to be calibrated, but then if you like the 1027......

I don't understand paying MORE for a used Sun Nuke 1027 (plus the cost to have it calibrated) than you can buy a new one for. Each to his own I guess.

NEHA got the paperwork from Sun Nuclear today for the 1028 & 1029. It sounded like the submittal was also made to EPA today so it could be a while before these devices have EPA & NEHA approval.
