Laminated ridge shingles

I see this type of installation on a large amount of roofs in this area. Do you report this type of installation when laminated shingles are used.

They look a little off center, other than that I don't see anything of concern.

That is one steep roof, how did you get up there?

What exactly are you saying/thinking is wrong?
It would be wrong if they used a dimensional shingle to cap ridge, but did not.
Maybe I am dot seeing something.
Also, is the ridge vented? Does not look as if there is a mesh under ridge cap, the shingle look like in contact with last course of shingle.

The ridge is not vented. The shingles are peeling off and they are only a few years old. I wanted to know if this particular shingle is designed for installation or if there is and alternative product. You can see in the pic where the shingle are peeling off.

I see that the corners are lifting on some of the ridge shingle. I would not say pealing off. It is a little strange that the lifting edges are not uniform in occurrence. It would apear that the some of the corners have become unsealed. I would be interested if the corners lay back down in warm weather (looks like snow in background). It may be possible that the mat that the tar and granules are on is contracting in the cold weather.Though they should not contract (shrink). The contracting of the mat is not a normal occurrence. I would not expect to see any leakage from the lifted corners. The nail holding the shingle should be above the corners sufficiently as to not have water get to them. Wind may be a concern over a protracted period.

Ridge (cap) shingles can be three tab cut into 3 pieces, some manufactures have precut for the ridge, some have deticated cap shingle that are cut on-site and some have preformed shingle.

Solution/recommendation, leave alone and keep an eye to see if worsens, tear off ridge cap and replace hoping that it doesn't happen again. If you can get the date of installation, style and manufacture; the manufacture may (probably not) give you s guess as to why the corners have lifted.

Thank you. There was a lot of DIY around this place, I am suspecting the same in this installation:) Actually, I am surprised the wind has not blown them off yet.

I would not try to predict the future of that ridge. Shingles sometimes blow off, but many more times, they don't blow off. That ridge looks reasonably OK to me.
