I came across this white fluffy insulation in an attic and was wondering if anyone knew what it is.

Looks like cellulose.

Looks like blown in fiberglass to me.

I like the double top plate cut completely in two for those PVC pipes (condensate drains?).

If an older home, RockWool.

If an older home, RockWool.

Unless it is an older home with newer insulation. :D

Also, all the rockwool I've seen has been darker, grayish-blackish in color.

That definitely looks like the blow in stuff I see in suburban new construction

Fiberglass.
They are now making it fluffy, but it's still fibrous glass. Not cellulose, which is shredded organic, wood or paper based, and certainly not rockwool.

Definitely blown Fiberglass! I believe made by Certainteed called Insulsafe. Good stuff and doesn't make you itch like the pink or yellow fiberglass.
